I used a different stencil and different colors of Alcohol Inks. I made mine a thank you instead of birthday, but followed her technique.
Instead of pouring on lots of AI over the stencil - I dripped the colors over the stencil and then pounced over the stencil with a felt applicator on a mini blending tool from Ranger.
I did use Pixie Spray but the ink did still seep beneath the stencil - but what a great look achieved!
I'm going to try this with many of my neglected stencils! I did clean off my stencil with rubbing alcohol as the AI's can stain it a bit.
I doubled up the die cut thank you - using green and blue cardstock slightly off set when glued over one another.
My vellum is cardstock as Ardyth suggested using as it's slightly thicker- and I just used glue to adhere the vellum to the cardstock and you cannot see the glue. My stencil covered the whole panel so that it does have AI all over it. Glue may have showed through if there were any open spaces.
Congrats on being the FS this week Ardyth and thank you for your inspiration! I learned a new way to use Stencils and AI's today!

I was really drawn to Ardyth's stenciling on vellum cards too. I wasn't sure I could get it to turn out well for me, but wow, you did a great job on this, Julia!
