I'm not sure WHY I'm posting this as I came into the whole process with an "attitude" . . . . all I wanted to do this morning was buy a tube of some kind of pink watercolor base. I live in a city of almost a million people, but the 2 national craft stores here do NOT carry much for either cardmaking or waterccolor crafts and there are no local options! So once again I am forced to pretend to know what I am doing to mix what I have (reds, Purples & white) to make some kind of a Rosy Pink for my sky. I consider my reflective water "iffy" at best but then I didn't particularly care for the way the video artist's water looked either so sorry for my rant . . . . .

Glad you uploaded and ranted about some things. This is what these challenges are about. Discovering new things about watercolor. Before watercolors my favorite pink was su mellow mambo. Yes the reinker. It was vibrant and blended well. Then Kia introduced me to Daniel Smith's pan watercolors. My favorite pink is quiacridone rose. It is vibrant, but with clear water you can get various soft shades of pink. Not sure what you used to create your pink for the sunset, but it is lovely and vibrant. I really like the movement you created with your water. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts.

I actually understand that exactly. ( I live in a hole in the wall sized town and same deal) but, I have learned to burden the postal system. (and I find abstract to be a hard challenge)
I keep adding to my color stash every time there is a sale, and so if you pick a small store sometimes the colors that are actually available are slim pickings. I have some on a watch page at Amazon but, the shipping is more than the paints so, I have not bit the bullet there as of yet.

I finally got here to see your super card. I know you know about appointments, don't you? I love seeing sunset across the water and yours is so pretty. I especially like the big wave of water toward the back looking like a tide coming in. Yes, your card looks like a paradise and I sure wouldn't mind being there.

Rant away Linda - it gets out of you and you can move forward. My city sucks for anything craft oriented. We have Michael's, which I dislike immensely as it has nothing. And, that is it! So everything I get is ordered online. But, I think you card worked out beautifully, and your pink is spot on. Well done for sure.
