I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to make a 4" x 5.1/4" panel and embossed using Simon Says Faceted Snowflakes Embossing Folder. I spritzed the panel with Faded Jeans and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Sprays, spritzed with water and dried. I added splatters of Snow Flurries Distress Mica Stain to add a little sparkle, dried and sanded back the detail on the embossed snowflakes.I die-cut Simon Says Etched Berry Branch from Distress Watercolor card and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium, leaving the tips of the leaves without adhesive to create dimension. I die-cut Simon Says Layered Chickadee from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Faded Jeans and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks using Distress Blender Brushes, added the beak and eye die-cut from black card and assembled. I stamped the Love sentiment from Simon Says So Much Love, inked with Simon Says Intense Black on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut. There is a matching die for this sentiment but I don't have it. I find fussy cutting quite relaxing, a little patience and a pair of good scissors make the task so much easier.I inked the smaller sentiment from the So Much Love stamp set with Versamark ink, stamped on to a scrap of black card, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and trimmed. I fixed both sentiments and the bird in place with thin strips of foam adhesive to create dimension. I felt that the bird was looking lost against the blue background, so I die-cut another Etched Berry Branch, did a little surgery to separate the leaves and berries and tucked them behind the bird.To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.
