This card is for my youngest daughter and her husband in celebration their fifth anniversary. I wanted to send them a card to mark this half-decade event, and I decided on a little bit of fall to mark the season that we all spent getting the wedding and reception all arranged.
Per my usual method, I research possible challenges that might fit my planned card. I found 13 challenges that worked, which are listed below:
1) AOCC22 - All Occasions Card Challenge/ January 2022. An ongoing/monthly challenge encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards more timely! This is a much needed card for a January anniversary.
2) USEIT2022 - Use It Challenge/ January 2022. An ongoing/ annual challenge that requires you to use OLD/ DUSTY and long unused items and/or OLD/NEW items purchased, never used, and seemingly forgotten! My OLD item(s): This card was made from a stash of papers and stamped elements I've had stored together since my sister had her scrapbook store back in 2008! They were leftovers from some cards I made way back then. I've always love this collection of papers. The leaves on the brown strip and in the background are actually raised with a glossy sheen on some of them. I added some old BoBunny Double Dot as my cardbase. It was one of my favorites to use way back when, and I have quite a stash from my sister's store!
3) WT843 - Ways to Use It Challenge/ Distressing - 5/6/21. Challenge: add distressing...edges, watercolor dry embossing, glue, acrylic distress, wrinkle-free distress, etc. I used ink-edged distressing.
4) DINSP0321 - Fan Club Monthly Themes--March 2021/ Squared Away - 3/15/21. My card meets the theme in that it is a square card. The card is for the Inspiration Challenge. I was inspired by the squares and colors in the afghan. I focused on the fall colors with just a touch of blue and made my card square.
5) CAS612 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ Falling Leaves -11/16/20. Challenge: fill gallery with falling leaves.
6) F4A553 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Fall Is Here - 9/25/20.
7) MSP38 - MISTI Monday Challenge/ Fall Theme - 10/1/20.
IC747 - Inspiration Challenge/ [Joy of Socks] - 3/28/20. I browsed their Pinterest site as the website seems to be closed. I found these socks for color inspiration: Band Strip Socks for Men!
9) FS682 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ She's One Crafty Stamper (aka Maura Hibbits) - 3/1/20. I found this card to CASE because of its fall theme and colors: Fall Greetings! I stuck with the theme and colors, except I did not add yellow but did add some green. I switched to an anniversary card rather than thinking of you and used patterned paper and die-cuts with no inking techniques except stamping.
11) ABC10O4 - Alphabet Challenge/ Round 10--Letter O/ Double challenge = ocean (optional) - 9/19/19. My letter O = Oak leaves, oak nut aka acorn. NO double challenge.
12) S2S19D - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another)/ Stash/Trash - 1/30/19. A monthly challenge originally to make cards to earn credit to purchase more stamping products, but evolved into a place to fulfill the monthly challenge, make friends and support one another. I've used paper scraps and stamp/ die-cut stash to complete this card. These were leftover's from 2009 when my sister closed her scrapbooking store.
13) MIX302 - Mix-ability Challenge/ Leaf Me Alone to Make Art - 11/9/l8. Challenge: Show art with leaves. Cardmaking in and of itself is an art form. I color stamped and die-cut leaves to decorate my sentiment frame. Mediums: printer ink (sentiment), pigment ink (edge distressing), dye-ink (stamping).
14) CC805 - Color Challenge/ A Curry & Cajun Espresso! - 11/7/17. Challenge: Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso. Dessert: Favorite green. I have all colors + green.

Carlene, this is a lovely Autumn themed Anniversary card with the pretty dp and ribbon, I like the design, too, particularly the framing of the sentiment!
