Good Monday, everyone! I hope everyone checks out today's TLC-DIY One Sheet Wonder. All that is needed for the technique is watercolor paper, any water soluble medium and foil or gilding flakes or something shiny.
No need to use good watercolor paper for this, so that's the good news. Try to keep the colors from mixing too much, letting some white space peak through is great. I used foiling and gilding flakes because I let my tacky drying glue get too wide and the foil wouldn't stick that well. The idea is to keep the shiny part from getting too wide, it should look like veins of metal. When dry and then foiled, you can cut this up into as many projects as possible. For now, I did two cards and an ATC, in honor of Beverly joining the team this month. I have a lot of the OSW left and I did a few others that will appear eventually. I love having stash backgrounds. BTW, the right hand card has a shaving cream background under the watercolor/foiled piece. Have fun!!!!!!! There is a video and some written directions in the challenge thread.

I enjoyed the link…I think I could even do that. Gotta find some foils though. How about chunky embossing powders in the meantime? Love the OSW. Great samples for the technique.

What a fun technique. I like the way you only used part of even a quarter, and rounded the edges on the top left one. Love the sentiment on the ATC. I'm thinking of using a similar wildflower die to finish another of my pieces. Is that Brushos on shaving foam, the under piece?
