I'm starting to think about Valentine's cards now. I have a friend who is born on Valentine's Day so I decided I would combine the two (as I usually do.) I thought Chris' colors this week would be very nice as a floral so I used them on this new stamp instead of traditional red / pink hearts. I got this set with my friend in mind because I think it makes for a perfect BD / VD card combo!
I stamped the image then created a mask so I could ink blend the sky and grass. I used the light and dark Stampin Blends to color the hearts as a solid. No shading gives me more variety in the colors for the heart flowers.
The sentiment is heat embossed and die cut. I used two extra layers to give it a little depth.
This card was super easy and fast. I can see lots of possibilities with this set!
I hope you will find time to join us this week!

What a fun stamp and it does look great in these colors. I love that you went non-traditional with the colors as it gives it a very warm and friendly look. And the hearts definitely keep a Valentine's vibe going. Great card.

Truly a sweet birthday card - those heart flowers are so dainty. I have a Valentine baby - but he's 6'3" and I don't think I can get away with combining the occasions. (It helps that his sisters have holiday birthdays too so he doesn't feel too cheated.)

I think it's an honor to be born on a birthday! I was (St. Patrick's Day), and I love the occasional card that celebrates both at once! I know your friend will love this cute card with its hearts swaying in the breeze! Love the shading in the sky! So sweet!
