I just received a die I got from Ebay. I was hoping it was the kind that cut windows into a card but it turned out to cut the whole frame as well, so I was playing with it to figure out what to do with it. Since the frame and all the pieces are cut with faux stitching on them, I thought I would try a quilt design.
I die cut the window frame/quilt frame twice from white cardstock and set aside the inside pieces for another project. Then I die cut twice from a piece of Basic Grey paper that was basically a giant bullseye type target on a 12x12 piece. I thought the arcs of different colors might look cool.
I covered a white card front with fuschia cardstock and set aside. I cut a piece of white cardstock the same size as the two frames set side by side and glued the frames to the cardstock piece, then glued in the patterned paper pieces. After everything was dry I ran it through a circles embossing folder and attached to the card front with foam tape. I stopped there because I wasnât sure what I wanted to do next, and then today as I was making some OSW cards with a larger stamped sentiment, I decided to finish this card the same way, so I stamped the Happy Birthday on a piece of white cardstock and layered it onto a larger piece of the fuschia cardstock and attached the piece to the card front with more foam tape.
