I already had this card in mind because when I brought the wrapping paper home from the store, my wife immediately made the âdachshund through the snowâ joke, and I remembered my dachshund stamp set and thought I would try a card using the wrapping paper as pattern paper background (it works but up itâs a little tough to wrangle the flimsy paper!).
I cut a rectangle of the wrapping paper and attached to a white card. Then I stamped the dog and birthday hat images on a scrap of white cardstock, colored, and cut out with matching dies. I freehanded a white hat edge with a black sharpie and cut it out, and attached to the birthday hat to turn it into a Santa hat, then glued the hat on the dog image. I cut a rectangle of white cardstock and embossed with a snowflake embossing folder. I die cut a rectangle of red cardstock and layered it onto the white, which I attached to the card front, then mounted the dog image with foam tape. I printed out the âdachshund through the snowâ¦â sentiment, cut it out, and attached inside the card. Thanks for looking!

Great matchup with your stamps and the wrapping paper. I know what you mean about adhering it - that slickery stuff wants to wrinkle no matter how you try to adhere it. . . . Nicely done on the challenge.
