For Ky's tree-themed MIX challenge (Forums at Splitcoaststampers, it seemed like a good opportunity to try Dina's Sky View Scene tutorial from the Inkling this week: Sky View Scene Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers

I followed it loosely, using a negative scallop die and white pigment ink to add some faint clouds to a blue sky. I spattered with gold Twinkling H2Os and added some gilding flakes around parts of the edge. I didn't get my sun quite centred, but I'd definitely try this again.

I like the off-centered-ness of the sun. It carries the eye right to the edge of the card which naturally follows wanting to open it. Lovely work, Sabrina!

Love the flock of birds. I think a small Santa and sleigh going across the moon would be great for a Christmas card or a little witchy on her broom for Halloween,

I love this unique perspective as looking up into the heavens. Great card.

I also rather like that your sun is a bit off-centre. Great job on this technique! The gilding flakes are a nice touch.

I like the sun being off center too...feel more organic and real. And how the clouds came out-very soft.
