As I was creating this card, which was very simple because I used gel prints from stash, no idea how I did them, I was thinking about my kids and my granddaughters. I'll see them later today because I'm traveling there and then we're driving to Morehead, MN to see my SIl's Mom and Step Dad. Then we'll drive to Fargo, ND as his Mom's NDSU choir is performing Messiah this weekend. I'm looking forward to it. And no, I don't think I will stand for the Hallelujah Chorus. There is no evidence that King George III actually stood for it and I'd rather sit, close my eyes and reflect. And besides, we don't have a king in this country.
The children sillouette is new to me but the script stamp behind is very old and hardly used. I found a scrap of ribbon in my bin and I've had the star stick pin and the pearls forever. I wish I could remember how I did the gel prints....sigh, will I ever learn?! They aren't that old, I did them in the past few months.
I'm sure you've all heard of the horrific events the Sunday before Thanksgiving in Waukesha, WI, not far from where I live. I'm thinking of the children who are still in the hospital and of the little 8 year old boy who died a few days later. His name is Jackson Sparks. People in the area are being asked to wear any kind of sports jersey tomorrow, the day of his funeral, so if you have kids, see if they will wear one to school or if you have one, put it on. There is also a 9 year old girl who will have a very long recovery, still in the hospital. And I'm thinking of the Dancing Grannies who died and how their grandchildren are feeling. So traumatized.

Love your gel plate piece- looks like Alcohol inks a touch! Your star pin is so pretty as are the gems. The silhouette of the children is wonderful! And, your reflection is quite sad, but so true! Enjoy your trip and covet your special time with the granddaughters and family!

A wonderful card using up your scraps. I try and write on the back of my gel prints now what I’ve used as I can never remember. Enjoy time with your family and grandchildren. Happy day
