My take on the sketch challenge - I underestimated the size of my image so the horizontal panel is a bit larger than the sketch.
I've had this image for about two years and have never inked it!! I just love watching the birds in our yard - they go through the sunflower seeds at a very rapid rate! Unfortunately, cardinals don't make it to our neck of the woods and the robins have long since departed for warmer temps. Thankfully, the chickadees keep us entertained all winter.
Stamped on the smoother side of the wc paper and used my aquapainter and a small brush to 'paint' the distress inks onto the image. Used a small paintbrush to apply the stickles to the snowy bits. Mounted the image on a black panel and popped it up on dimensionals.
Sketch Challenge 882. Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, I love this card! We just installed a new "squirrel buster" feeder yesterday to keep them from gobbling up all the sunflower seed! We are fortunate to have lots of cardinals, chickadees, nuthatches and little juncos. We love watching them all winter! Your water coloring of this sweet image is so pretty and I love the deep red and patterned paper you chose for the panels. Into my faves

Just outstanding! So glad you got to ink up this sweet image. Your coloring is perfect. We have bird feeders, too. My husband finally found one that the squirrels can't hijack.

Love your wintery birdhouse neighborhood with so many little details! The watercolor paper even provides a bitty bit of 'snowy' texture! Very cool card!
