I looked at the site she gave us a link to first, and there were several other decades I would have preferred, but (no dice easy to find), DH "rolled" a seven when asked to pick a number between 1 and 11.
Large print wallpaper (not in our house, only one room with paper, and a very simple elegant design of gold on navy), shag carpets (not in our house, we only had one room with a wall-to-wall carpet, the others were just rugs). Pottery - that figured, I can remember my parents doing pottery night class.
I used some BG paper for my large print background, and also for the (non-shag) carpet. The sofa is also pieced with papers from the same pack. Vases stamped on the base and on white card, coloured with Polychromos and pieced in, with the twigs detailed in Liquid Pearls. I added the birthday banner, and thought about putting 100 under it, but went for a small picture instead.

Awesome -- you hit all the elements listed for the 70's designs. And, I remember everyone into pottery then too. LOL. Love the bold large print for the wallpaper. Great dimensions with the furniture. The "family portrait" is a nice touch too. Wonderful patterns and high five on the paper piecing. Fabulous card.

I love this...it's a delightful look into a 70s room. You do have all the details just right on this...I love the accessories...the hanging portrait, the vases. And that wallpaper is bold but I like it....at least I would for awhile...not sure if I could live with it for a long time.

I think the birthday lady is going to have such fun checking out all the wonderful details in your design!

Fabulous creation, Sabrina. It has so much color and fun patterns. Your little room just invites the viewer to sit down on that couch and relax. Or, in the case of my sons after Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow...to lie down and groan about eating so much they are feeling sick. I always love your creative cards.

Oh my, the large print wallpaper! We bought a house in the 70's that had huge artichokes on the wall in the master bath. It was the first thing to go! LOL. Great job depicting the era!
