Here is my card for Teapot Tuesday. I rolled a 9 so my card depicts trends from the 1990's. Ah, the '90's, a time of bad decorating trends and I had a number of them (shudder) in my home. Knotty pine (check), faux painted walls (uh huh), wallpaper borders (oh yes) and brass fixtures (that too). For my card, I "sponge painted" the top portion of the wall and added a "wallpaper" border to separate the top from the paneled bottom. I added "brass" corners. My doll reminds me of the cabbage patch doll my daughter had. Isn't she styling ('90's fashions) with her faded denim and bright leg warmers? This was a fun challenge and trip down memory lane. So happy these styles are just a memory. Will I say that in a few years about today's trends? Enjoy!

Very cute! I like the brass corners. We had one room with a wallpaper border, and I guess, yes, it was early nineties. I still like how that room looked! I think we found the border first and chose the colours to match.

Well your adorable "doll" certainly distracts from your so-called "bad" decorating trends -- but I have to say, I think they look pretty great on this card. Yes, we will probably shudder someday about today's trends as well. LOL. Personally, I shudder more over my various "trendy" hair styles. But, no shuddering here. Your cutie will deliver a big stylish bday greeting for sure. Great card.

Yes - I remember the wall paper borders. I even bought a couple of pretty rolls in Canada once and bought them all the way home! Guess what brass, copper and gold bathroom fixtures are all the rage now according to the renovation shows I sometimes watch.
