Funny that Anne said fun but messy. I was going to say fun and not messy!
I used copper paint with a dark green and a blue. I decided the whole piece was a bit overpowering, so I cut four squares, embossed them and buffed with some Craft-T rub-on in pearlescent white. Went for a classic layout - I had something larger for the centre panel but DH vetoed it as covering too much of the background which he really liked. So I subbed a Katzel bird, stamped twice, so the bird and leaf have some added dimension, and the wreath is also popped up over the base layers.

I agree and didn't find it messy, I hope Anne didn't forget the cling wrap...lol. I love your beautiful embossed finger painted squares the copper looks great with blue and green, pretty bird in the center.
