This was a real challenge for me. After a quick visit to Pinterest, I found a quilt idea I liked but had problems choosing paper and stamp image. I changed stamps and paper multiple times! The "quilt" came together a lot easier than expected thanks to my punch which ensured all the squares were the same size. (In fact, it was so easy, I made 2 more at the same time!)
I thought the coloring for a female cardinal would look better on this card and although it was harder to color her than my male cardinals I colored for my other cards, I'm glad I attempted it. I'm pretty happy how she turned out because coloring is difficult for me.

I love your quilt papers and the embossing was a great addition. Thanks for the tip on the punch -- a quick solution for consistent squares and an idea I will have to try in the future. I love your cardinal and you dd a beautiful job coloring her. I think the "female" was the right choice and she is showcased beautifully here. I'm sure Joyce, the cardinal lover, will love this cardinal too.
