This card is for the new Alphabet Challenge round - starting today! A for animal which, in my case, is a penguin. It is also for today's sketch challenge - I took the double challenge, and for yesterday's color challenge.
I followed the steps in this wonderful tutorial (did you know Splitcoaststampers has a fabulous tutorial section?! Here is a link to this tutorial: Twist Gate Fold Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I had the Shaded Spruce panel already stamped with tone on tone sketched stripes. I used the candy cane from the stamp set to repeat stamp on white cs using Cherry Cobbler, I then sponged lightly over the entire panel with Cherry Cobbler.
I wanted my penguin to be holding that cute candy cane which meant I was doing partial die cutting because I stamped and masked it instead of die cutting the two separately. I colored my sled and penguin with Copics and put him on a golden hill - or is that the setting sun you see behind him? You get to decide.
Thanks for the challenges! And thanks for looking!

Wow! There's so much going on in this wonderful card! I love the Twisted Fold Fold, and that cute penguin. I'm thinking it's a rising sun behind him; he's up early to start the day sledding!
