I watercoloured the poinsettia postcard image, using the pale gold paint included in my Gansai Tambi paints for the background and flourishes - they are more shimmery IRL than they look in the photo. I fussy cut it and added it to the card base that I'd dry embossed to frame the image. I added gold gemstones to the centre of the poinsettia and clear ones to the centres of the snowflakes.

Truly beautiful, Susan. Love the vintage/collage-like feeling....lovely coloring of the elements too. The bg framing embossing enhances the "postcard" focal point.

How lovely! Thanks for reminding me about those wonderful Gansai Tambi paints! I need to pull mine out and play! Especially after seeing how beautifully you watercolored this wonderful postcard image. Love the embossed background, too! It is a perfect frame for the postcard!
