Made for the Teapot Tuesday challenge MMTPT694 for John who will be in a cast for a few months.
John and I share a lot of likes, including classic cars, so picking out this stamp was easy. However trying to make a card out of my comfort zone was not (guess that's why they call it a challenge!). I searched SCS and finally settled on the Bargello Technique (Bargello Technique Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers ). It looked easy enough, but just more involved than I usually do. Turns out, it was not as easy as it looked due to some gluing issues (so maybe it was just me).
I finally got it to look just right and then I covered most of it with my image. LOL!
I was excited when I remembered I had these brads. They've probably been in my stash for 20 years.

Beth what a fabulous card, I can't believe the paper and that card, just John's speed, and those brads what an amazing card. Thank you so much for going out of your comfort zone and making a card for my son.

This is one of those techniques I have often thought about trying but haven’t yet! Good on you, it does make a wonderful bg and this is certainly a terrific car image! You really did have the perfect brads to use on this card!

Very encouraging sentiment for John and a great masculine design!

Your bargello background looks cool. I made the mistake of cutting very narrow strips first time I tried it - never again. Great sentiment and image, and I love your screwhead brads.
