Foiled tags

Poster: stampingwriter

For Falliday Fest, Lori asked us to make 4 gift tags. I had been intrigued by the TLC foiled stained glass challenge, so I tried that technique on the ornaments, with a few changes. In the first place, I watched the technique video, then tried the technique several days later without reviewing it, so I didn't completely follow along. Plus, I was going to use Sharpies, but all the colors I have are too pale to work so I used some markers that were labeled as Permanent markers, but they bled some because of the other change I made. Since I couldn't find my two-sided adhesive sheets, I just used white glue-- hence some color bleeding. Those issues aside, I like how these ornaments look IRL. The bleeding colors resulted in light and dark spots, which is reminiscent of real stained glass.

Lovely set of tags. I was sure ornaments would work well with this technique, and that is one beautiful ornament stamp.
I too only have Sharpies ( so for my big butterfly I dabbed alcohol inks on), and I agree, it's not a great colour range. I always struggle with techniques that call for Copics!!
