Iâve been wanting to try dot painting for a while so I collected some supplies and took the plunge. Iâve done a few practice pieces on cardboard from my recycling bin, but this is my first attempt at making one to use on a card. The pink and green Free For All Friday challenge gave me my color palette. We were to use only pink and green, with neutrals and an optional additional color allowed, so I picked two shades of green and pink, white, and silver as my bonus color. I had a great time making it. Itâs still very much beginner work and I can see all the places I messed up but my wife encouraged me to finish it as a card anyway.
I mounted the black painted cardstock onto silver metallic, then some light green before attaching all of it to a small white premade card. I sinished with the stamped greeting.
Iâm going to stretch the mixed media challenge theme of uplifting by the use of the stacked dots for dimension, the âliftâ of the foam tape mounting, and the encouraging sentiment! But mostly because if I pull out paints, it should be mixed media!

This is Absolutely Stunning! I love your style! This looks like a Big Beautiful Brooch (something my 6'2" Nana would have worn). FYI-my other memere was only 4'10"~
