This was an interesting project, to be sure! I chose 9 papers from my scrap stash (including ones from the pads mentioned in the supply list), & used my trimmer to cut 1-1/4" squares from them. I cut a piece of copy paper to 3-5/8" square, & added a piece of Stick It adhesive to one side. After I worked out my pattern, I removed the release paper from the adhesive, & adhered my squares in place. I burnished the panel, then cut it into fourths, & rearranged the resulting squares. I did make sure the birds square & the cuckoo clock square stayed upright!
Initially I was going to have the squares separated slightly on my cardstock mat. But, after I adhered them to the cardstock, my trimming around the edges went a bit awry. Since I didn't have another large-enough piece of that cardstock - which I really wanted to use - I decided to snug the squares together. I think it worked in the end.
I die cut the hello word from coral cardstock, & the shadow from the same blue I'd used to mat the patterned paper.
I die cut a mint-colored A2 panel with the lattice die, & glued that on top of my card front, for a tone-on-tone texture. Just a little somethin'-somethin', don't you know. Finally, I adhered my card front to a white card base, & added my patchwork square & die cut hello to that. I love that I was able to use all scraps for this card.
