The video showed a more "magical mushroom" in unexpected colors. I decided to paint mine more realistically in a forest floor setting. My light source is also from the top....like sunlight coming through the trees.

Beautiful images and forest setting. The smaller lacy edged one reminds of an oriental mushroom that my son likes to cook with. He'll use 5 or 6 different kinds in a single dish. I always considered the red capped mushrooms were figments of someone's imagination but found out today they are real as rain. Your forest floor looks like spongy moss which mushrooms probably love to nestle down in.

Absolutely stunning! I like your greenery along with your beautiful mushroom! I like the way your smaller mushroom looks as though he is reaching for the light. Simply beautiful! I just read your comment on the challenge post and I am so glad you follow your heART! The challenges are always a jumping-off point. I loved her blue and green mushroom but I really chose the challenge because I thought it would work so well if someone wanted to create a Fall card. Thanks for sharing your amazing nature painting!

Sallie, this little scene is just so beautiful that it truly needs to be framed! The mat frames the scene so well, too. And, your watercoloring is without question fabulous!!
