So, as it happens I had time to watch the video last week before we left but, I the time I had set aside to paint on Friday evening was sideways taking care of Izzy who cut her foot open. ( dogs do not get stitches when they cut their feet, they get wrapped and you spend your time trying to keep them from running and jumping) and so, the funny part is I had it in my mind seeing the colors that it was a fantasy mushroom and being that kind of a thought that I would stamp off a mushroom with a gnome under it. but, a funny thing happened and I seen these mushrooms in a flowerbed outside the hotel on Saturday evening and shot a mug shot, hubs shot a couple different angles, and when I started to paint to night I tried the main mushroom in the photo in the challenge thread found here. is it close, no but I was just tickled to see that red topped mushrooms are really a "real" thing and not a make believe thing. kwim? Thanks for this challenge Angie & tfl.

So sorry about Izzy:(. Amazing how you came across the mushrooms, and took a picture. We had numerous ones this year because of the wetness. Never realized there are so many varieties of them, until I went looking on the internet for a reference photo. Yes, yours looks like the real thing. Love both cards. TFS
Aww! Poor Izzy. I am sure that was not the way you expected to spend your evening. How fun that you found a pair of bright red mushrooms. I found one on our walk last year, I think it was. I was so excited! Your mushrooms look terrific! I like the way you painted the spots!

Well - who knew - so glad you took and posted the picture of those red capped mushrooms - I was another who always thought they were just a fantasy coloring. . . You have done an awesome job of recreating the 'shrooms in your photo right down to the white spots (which I also thought were just a figment of someone's imagination!)

Hope you've been able to keep Izzy off her foot some. It is almost impossible without knocking them out isn't it. Love your red capped mushrooms. They are my favorite kind. They look so much like Gnome houses. Very cool that you found some outside.
