I must credit Bridget Casey for this card's technique (die cut leaves over top an ink-blended piece of cardstock). In yesterday's class Bridget stamped her sentiment on the card front. I wanted to step mine up a bit for my SIL.
First piece of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" white CS: Use blending brush to cover entire surface in fall colored dye inks.
Second piece of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" white CS: position leaf dies to your taste and secure with light-tack tape; run through die cut machine. Remove die cut pieces (and save for another card). Adhere this die cut sheet over the ink-blended sheet then adhere this to card front.
Faux Chipboard BD element: Adhere adhesive sheets to the back side of colored CS before die cutting 4 or 5 pieces. Remove the adhesive liner and carefully align layers of CS and press together. Die cut vellum circle (to cover rear of BD element); adhere vellum to the BD element. Apply adhesive to the vellum where it will be hidden behind the BD element and adhere to card front.
I loved how quickly the card, minus the faux chipboard element, came together. Sentiments could be stamped in place of the element I made.
