I love getting a two-fer from a stamping technique! I made these two using the Technique Lover's Double Water Stamping technique challenge.
Created the blended background for card #1 using Distress Inks on the smooth side of the watercolor paper, and followed the rest of the directions in the technique thread. (I tried this technique, making a background using Distress Oxides, but wasn't thrilled with the results, oh well.) I think if I try this again I'll use a little less water on the stamp; it did puddle a bit.
The cat was stamped on the grey CS and fussy-cut out; he is covering up a boo-boo, lol! I used a teeny, tiny makeup brush (turned blending brush) and created a bit of a highlight with yellow ink around the sentiment on card #2.
TFL!

Interesting, I'd tried water stamping with regular distress before and not found it particularly successful, but it obviously worked well for you. I like the ghostly effect or the web on the left one, and an so impressed with the results you got with the stamping off.

Hi Liz! I hope you are doing well and just want to say - that's the CUTEST combination of Halloween cards you made this fall! I am sorry I didn't see it until now!
