This week we are doing a video that shows us how to make a autumn tree with falling leaves. It sounds easy, but I found it difficult to make the leaves with the copy paper. Need to practice the tree trunk. Come join us and show us your falling leaves.

Ever so pretty Linda - I find trees a right pain, but alas I keep trying! Whenever my art teacher said we are going to do trees I moaned!
I like that you added the greens - I thought about that but a bit too late.

I think I am going to use a sea sponge when I try this or aluminum foil for painting the leaves. I love the textured look on the bark on the trunk of the tree that you acheived with the watercolor. I will start this project tomorrow. I've had a long day!

Looking at the trees in the gallery and I am moaning that this is the challenge today because I don't do well with trees. The trunk is the tough part for me. You did a good job on that. I'll have to go watch the video and see how they are doing the leaves. I love the green wood BG you used.

I did not have good luck with paper either, so I switched to a ripped up old sponge top brush for my leaves on the second trial and the third (finished card) versions. I think my trunk kept trying to be a leaf shape because, I got widest in the middle of the strokes haha.
