When I saw the challenge I was reminded about this Penny Black stamp and thought I would like to change this up a bit. I stamped using my watercolours, first adding VersaMark embossing ink to my stamp, which helps the stamp keep the watercolour in place. I added some sprays using Crimson Red and Indian Red, then did splatters using the reds and Cascade Green along with Gouache and Midas Touch. To stamp the sentiment I used VersaFine Clair in Green Oasis then over stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz.
I have more details and pictures on my blog.
Thank you for looking.

I like the way you have enhanced this stamping - I have to say, the realist in me would never have thought to add the feathery sprays in anything but green but I must admit the red adds some whimsy and a super pop of color.

Thanks for explaining about the watercolors on stamps technique ... very inspiring! Your splatters and glittery mat are lovely!
