I'm late getting to Polly's MIX453: Bountiful Harvest (10/1/2021) by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers MIX challenge from last week. Since I was locked out of uploading for 3 days, I spent a lovely sunny Friday morning last week in the Botanic Gardens, and life has been busy since then.
I harvested some postage stamps on Monday morning - I take part in a Europe-wide postal survey, and after three months, all the inbound mail can be disposed of, so each month I save the nicest stamps. I collaged a whole bunch of them onto some card with Mod Podge and went to collect my sewing machine from its service. When I got back, I cut the frame and started thinking. It needed to go on a light background, so I found this Lift-Ink piece (it's stamped after I lifted the ink from this card here:MIX414 Hello 2021 by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers, which fit the bill. I cut that with the stitched rectangles, and added the two sentiments.
I backed the frame with a piece of dry-embossed vellum.
The IO snowflake was cut from vellum, pressed into a Peacock Brilliance pad and embossed with Frosted Ice EP. I used a gem in the centre. For a bit of whimsy I considered adding a snowman but in the end went for three little fawns. Edged the main panel with Stickles and that's it.
I might be back with something made from the centre of the frame , and I still have quite a large piece of collaged stamps left.
