This week's Color Challenge hostess is Chris and she has chosen the beautiful combination of Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Basic Black with weathered (think wood) as the dessert. I have to admit to being a bit stumped at first so I did some web surfing for ideas and this is one of the first pics that popped up: https://www.fler.cz/blog/tyrkysove-m...rehlidka-36432
So, I think you can see where my card came from. I started this card by embossing the blue panel and then gently swiping with the blue DOX to bring out some of the woodgrain. Scored the panel every half inch and finished it off by blending black DOX around the edges. Printed, colored and fussy-cut the cardinal digi. I did cut and stack the cardinal two more times to give it some oomph on the card. Die cut the various elements and glued everything down. The sentiment was cut twice and slightly offset for a shadow affect.
I might have started out stumped but love where I ended. I do think this card has a bit of a "moody" feel with the darker blue and black, which I really like, but I wonder if CHEERS is the right sentiment. Oh well. Cheers to you and your creations! TFL and I hope you will join in the challenge this week too.

Gorgeous! Love how you arrived at this beauty. The "blue wood' look is awesome. The cardinal and your coloring/shading, fabulous. I think the cheers headline is so pretty and looks perfect on the round. Wonderful die/cuts all your fussy cutting, too.

Ha, ha, I guess you are paying him in birdseed?, lol. Debbie this looks amazing. Love the black looped die. This card is cheery and cheerful, so of course your sentiment die totally works!
