This pre-stamped image was in my stack of items to use and fit the challenge nicely. We will mail this card to my MIL as a thank you for a recent gift.
Back story: My DH's family had a special dog that looked like the one in this image. When his parents retired, they wanted to be free of the responsibility of a dog; all his sisters had married & moved out and could not have her. Much to our delight, we were given this special dog, Gigi. She was so obedient and I taught her many tricks. She was very dear to my MIL's heart; we still talk about Gigi from time to time.
Every day after work, I would go in our condo, put my things down and grab the mailbox key. Then Gigi and I would go down the walkway to the central mailboxes, I would get the mail and we would walk back. I never used a leash (shame on me!); she led the way there and back and never strayed. Of course, I was older than the young girl pictured here, but this image always reminded me of this sweet dog and our special time together going to the mailbox.

Diane, what a sweet story. So glad you shared it with us. Adorable image and pretty plaid dp too (I have some of that one.) The candy dots tie everything together~
