It is my turn to host the Color Challenge for this last week in September. (Where has this month gone?!?!) I chose colors I thought would go nicely with the dessert option. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Terracotta Tile. The dessert option this week is DESSERT! Cakes, pies, cookies, ice cream, etc.
For my card I pulled out this adorable stamp from Wild Rose Studio. I think this bunny is just so cute, bringing the birthday person a huge slice of chocolate chip cake! I stamped the image on Neenah Solar White 80 lb cardstock, then cut it out with my Scan 'n Cut. Colored with Copic markers in colors close to this week's palette including grays and browns, which are permitted neutrals.
I searched for a card sketch that I thought might work, found one and then changed the elements around so completely that it looks nothing like the sketch! I brushed a light brown Distress Oxide ink around the edges of the So Saffron layer, popped up the circle with foam tape, and then mounted the bunny on an Action Wobble. The greeting is from a booklet of sentiments. I cut the long greeting into two parts, mounted each on a small strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then added a few gems.
Thanks for taking a peek at my card! I am eager to see all the yummy desserts in the gallery this week. Please join us!

What an adorable little baker, Barbara! I think that piece has my name on it since I'm pretty sure its dark chocolate frosting. Right? Thank you for the fun color combination!

Adorable card Barbara! That cake looks good enough to eat - you're making me hungry! Great colors this week (but I probably gained a pound eating some "inspiration" for my card.)

really fun card, with one of my favorite sayings. The embossing is a nice textural touch.
