Thank you, Jean, for bringing such a whimsical TLC! I couldn't wait to give this one a go. The video link was helpful to gather the basic measurements. I apologize for uploading 6 photos...but so much space for creative play.
I used every surface of the pinwheel to carry the story. The first layout used Tim Holt's Clocks stencil with the Encore Metallic 'Bronze'. The American Art Stamps sentiment 'Cherish life's special moments' invites one to pause. I used a pretty kaleidoscope patterned tile that has similar colors and metallics on the left side.
When you move the flap, the second stop is to a small note page, torn from a pad, complete with a 'pencil'. I added a bit of twine/bronze thread wrap along with TH's coin that says 'field notes'. Straight across on the left side is a small area for me to write a remembrance.
The third whirl demands a phase. The 1Canoe2 'Willow' dp is a scenic view of a prairie, a body of water in the middle, fading to sky and sunrise. I actually carried this paper across 2 thirds of the whirl. When you fold it flat the final third brings the whole scene into view. The Buddhist proverb is stamped in the Brilliance 'Graphic Black' and embossed with the super fine detail Ranger EF.
It says the journey is the reward. I like you can run your finger over the words, perhaps feeling something more. I also loved the scale of the vista and the hopefulness of the coming day.
One more whirl and you have arrived at the heart of my card. A hot air balloon shaped like a heart with a sentiment to match. The balloon has a map across the fabric. I placed it to float across the final bit of scenery and into a magical moment, hopefully long remembered! The left side has thin stripes painted in sunrise colors.
I hope you'll take a closer look at the individual segments. This is such a versatile fold for a card you can mail flat, I can just imagine creating others.
Thanks for taking the PinWheel trip with me. And always thankful for your insights.

I'll take a pinwheel trip with you any day.....you are so thoughtful about your work, making it very cohesive, even though there is a lot going on. Thanks, dear friend, love it!

I liked the Field Notes section a lot, but the willow/canoe is my favourite for sure. Especially as we've just come back from a week boating on the Shannon, with those wide-open vistas. You really made fantastic use of this fold.
