This week's featured stamper, Lois (aka Mom42Grand41), has a gorgeous Gallery that to my eye skews vintage/shabby chic. It is filled with fabulous DSP beautifully combined and embellished. But scattered throughout are these bright bold pops of colorful BGs and graphics like this great card: SC792 Strength by Mom42Grand41 at Splitcoaststampers
I liked the way she featured that big sentiment stamp with the bold striped BG. I have a big sentiment stamp and a striped die so it seemed like the perfect card for me to CASE. Lois also has several Breast Cancer themed cards, so I switched out her gold for the pink as a nod to her support of those battling that dreadful disease.
When Penny Black introduced this sentiment stamp it was featured on a lovely watercolored scene of the Eiffel Tower, so I wanted to use an Eiffel Tower too. I stamped off the gray ink (second generation stamping) before stamping in onto my panel because I wanted to keep it soft and in the bg. And, I always think flowers and flourishes when I think Eiffel Tower, so I got out my favorite flourish and did some more 2nd gen stamping in pink. Topped it off with the sentiment in bold black. For the flowers, I stamped the HA garden stamp in black onto a white panel and popped it behind the black stripe die cut. I was afraid this might be too busy, but I really like the extra images/movement in the BG. Mounted everything with black and pink and added a few rhinestones for the fun of it.
Congratulations Lois on being this week's Featured Stamper. You have a gorgeous Gallery and I am especially enamored with those fabulous jazz themed cards. They are just WOW! And, I hope everyone is having a WOW! moment this weekend too. Stay safe and TFL.

I really love what you did with Lois' card, Debbie. Great saying, love the pink you added.

I love your creative layout and that bold and encouraging sentiment as the focus of the card. Your touch of pink with these neutral colors is very nice!

What a glorious inspirational card! I love the swirls of pink in the background! The black and white really focuses the eye on the sentiment! Great case of the FS. TFS

Not at all too busy, Debbie - it is perfect and your pink flourishes are pretty and purposeful. Since I seem to be in alliteration mode, I will say it is a POWERFUL piece. Thank you.

This is so elegant! I love the stamped background peeping through the cover-up. The bit of pink with the flourishes adds interest. A fabulous card! Do you know what I do with the strips the Cover-up Frame makes? I use them as sentiment strips! Maybe you do too? I keep one frame and pop the strips back in and stamp thin sentiments! Oh, and your comment on my card made me giggle. I think it's probably both. The cat is batty, I have never met one that isn't just a tiny bit and the bat probably thinks he is all that since he can fly.

Gorgeous! Love the die-cut BG over the beautiful stamped paper. The stamped design in pink and gray turned out perfectly. The sentiment, fantastic.
