SC868 = I moved the sentiment to the bottom for better balance and did not put it on a separate piece of CS. For the circular side border, I use a die cut that had a circular feeling and tied in with the painted scene.
WC065 = Pen/ink/watercolor video on creating a lighthouse scene. See Stacy's link to the video here.
After watercoloring the basics of the lighthouse scene, I came back in with pen/ink for finer details and extra shading.

Oh Sallie, Just when I think I might be making progress on watercolor, I see another of your fabulous pieces and realize I still have so far to go. But I love your work for the inspiration it brings me and the enjoyment I find in gazing at it for ages. Beautiful! Off to give this a try. P..S. I love the circle swirls border and the pen and ink work at the shading of the lighthouse.

Oh my, So Beautiful, Sallie! A lovely seascape....my favorite part is the gorgeous sky followed by the sea. Your side panel is quite unique like waves coming in to shore~

This scene you've painted is so beautiful and serene. I can hear the seagulls and smell the fresh air. Wonderful choice for representing the circular element ~ it ties in very well! Faved just so I can get a glance of summer in the middle of dreary November and winter!

Your painting is gorgeous. I am so jealous of folks like you who can draw/paint so beautifully. It could stand on it's own, but I adore that die cut embellishment you added. What a beautiful extra detail. Awesome card.

Simply put Sallie, Stunning!! I'm in Awe of your talent! The way you have come back in to highlight elements just makes the whole piece stand out! The way you have brought the two challenges together is true art!
