I'm catching up on my blog postings, and I found this Christmas card that I made a few months ago that I had not posted to my SCS gallery. In making this card, I found 13 challenges that my card would fit. A even met a challenge for this coming November, since the Christmas Card challenge gives us all challenges for the year to work on as we desire to get our Christmas card stash complete for December mailings!
1) CCC21NOV - Christmas Card Challenge--November 2021/ Scraps! - 11/1/21. Challenge: use scraps on your card. Working ahead, I've used paper strip scraps for the November challenge.
2) AOCC21 - All Occasions Card Challenge/ May - 5/1/21. This challenge is monthly and encourages you to set goals ahead for each month to help you complete and mail your cards timely! I'm posting it to my Christmas card stash goal for May 2021. I made multiples of this same design.
3) USEIT2021 - Use It Challenge/ May 2021 - 5/1/21. This is an ongoing/ annual challenge requiring you to use old, long unused items gathering dust AND/OR old/ new items purchased but seemingly forgotten...never opened or used! I am using an OLD/ NEW item...the Feels Like Frost dsp...purchased in 2019 and finally unpackaged in January to make two sympathy cards with the plan to make a Christmas card version, which I eventually got done. I found that I had not posted it to my blog, which I finally got done in May, and now finally to SCS.
4) F4A567 - Free 4 All Challenge/ Encouragement - 1/1/21. Challenge: Make a card for someone who needs an encouraging word.
5) ABC13XE24 - Alphabet Challenge--Round 13/ Loving Letters--Letters X & E - 9/9/20. My Letter X = Xmas; my Letter E = Envelope layout.
6) DINSP0320 - Fan Club Monthly Theme--March 2020/ Blue Moon - 3/16/20. Meets theme: fill gallery with blue cards/ project. My card if for the INSPIRATION challenge...I was inspired by the shades of blue.
7) MMTPT580 - Teapot Challenge/ Cheer for the Queen Mother - 9/3/19. I'm playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking, so this card will be a Christmas card for my Mother. I've kept to challenge requirement by making my card from a sketch that I tweaking just a bit; it is faith-based; and it is blue. Here is a link to the sketch: My Favorite Things Sketch MFTWSC382
S2S19DD - Stamp 2 Save (aka Stamp 2 Support One Another)/ Using Up Technique Pieces - 8/1/19. Challenge: use scrap panels leftover to make your card.
9) IC704 - Inspiration Challenge/ The Crown Prints - 6/1/19. I was inspired by the colors in this abstract print: Indigo Abstract No. 2 Print.
10) CAS535 - Clean & Simple Challenge/ Go Outside - 5/27/19. Challenge: enjoy the warm weather...don't like it warm..."color" outside the lines. I'm think "color outside the lines" is like "thinking out of the box!" This cardmaker likes cool weather, so I'm "going outside" to enjoy a frosty morning walk in a wildflower meadow during the holiday season! What can I say; I'm from the Pacific Northwest! We love fog, rain, and are known to have web feet!
11) FS635 - Featured Stamper Challenge/ Stampin' Makes Me Happy! - 4/7/19. A fun gallery to browse. I was sorry to see Angie has not been active in over a year. Here's hoping she returns. I was inspired by the angled overlap on Angie's card: JOY! I kept the angled flap, but rotated it to top, and I used a dsp as well. I let the dsp be the focus, thus used no image. I changed the theme to Christmas as that was my card focus at the time. I changed the color scheme completely to suit my dsp. I found a sentiment incorporate JOY!
12) SCSCCNOV18 - Fan Club Monthly Christmas Card Challenge/ Letter & Numbers - "0" & "1" - 11/1/18. Challenge: use 0 dsp/ 1 die-cut OR use 1 dsp/ 0 die-cut...you decide. I've used 1 dsp pattern and 0 die-cuts.
13) MIX264 - Mix-Ability Challenge/ Patterned Panel - 2/16/18. Challenge: uses a patterned paper base...paint, stamp, or add on top...don't cover entirely. My card uses strips of patterned paper, covered with an envelope flap at the top. Mediums: dye stamping ink, Copic markers (ribbon coloring), and printer ink.
Ingredients: Stampin' Up products: Cardstock--Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, Silver Glimmer; Patterned paper--Feels Like Frost 6x6 dsp; Stamps--His Light (2018 Holiday); Ink--Night of Navy, Balmy Blue (sponging); Ribbon--1/4" Snowflake Splendor; Basic Rhinestones.
