I tried to steer away from Santa's hat, but this stamp has been on my desk for several months waiting for a chance to use it. I was going to make him cosier by using a fabric background with owls and penguins on it, which I bought for masks, but I think he looks better in this citra-solv background from my stash which I thought looked like a spooky snowy woodland.
To use as much of it as possible I went for a DL card (about 8 1/2" x 4 1/3"), using an extra strip with the snowy effect to fill the height. Edged with black acrylic and some Stickles. The owl was stamped on my best watercolour paper because I wasn't originally intending to fussy-cut him, and coloured with Inktense pencils. Cotton wool on his hat trim and pom-pom, Glossy Accents on his beak and talons.
