This card was made for a challenge that required using a fun fold and Play-Doh colors purple, red, green, blue, orange and/or yellow.
The most colorful thing I could imagine is a coral reef, so I chose to build my card around the gorgeous Stampin' Up! (SU) designer series paper (DSP) "Whale of a Time" with all it's beautiful underwater patterns.
The fold I chose is called an "Swing Easel Card". There is a photo/video tutorial for a 5-1/2" square card at: Swing Easel Card Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers There are written instructions for a 6" square card by Amanda Bates at: https://thecraftspa.blogspot.com/201...for-swing.html I chose to make the 6" version, but the instructions are a bit more difficult to follow since there are no step-by-step photos to accompany it.
The thing that makes this card especially interesting is that the main center panel "swings" from the fold lines when it's opened up.
For my "sand" border I used a dotted pattern from the stamp set and using Versamark and clear embossing powder created the tan border that surrounds the front of the card.
The seashells were first die cut from various colors of shimmer paper, then stamped, then embossed inside the SU "Seashells" 3D embossing folder. I used paper snips to cut the diecut pieces apart.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "4" out of a possible "5" because of all the precise cuts needed for the card base to create the swinging easel, and the multiple steps required to create the seashells.
