This card took forever to make. Good thing I work from home now and could finish on my lunch break. So much drying time. Cathy has challenged us to be inspired by something in our house. I walked out of my craft room this morning looking for some inspiration and spotted the seahorse cookie jar on top of my fridge. That's it! One night when hubby and I were in the hot tub enjoying our lovely home, right after we installed the outdoor shower, I jokingly called it "Spa Nottingham". So we had my mom embroider bath towels with "Spa Nottingham" and a fabulous seahorse pattern. So when I went to buy him a weathervane for Christmas, I asked the guy to make a seahorse, because it's the symbol of Spa Nottingham now. Here is the photo of our weathervane that was shared on the artist's Instagram account. Isn't it awesome? That was the last Christmas gift I ever bought for my hubby. I'll never beat that, so I decided to just quite while I was ahead. So that's the story of my card full of seahorses. I hope you like it!

Loved reading the story of your seahorse inspiration, Jen! The weathervane is beautiful and so is your fabulous card! The background may have taken a long time to create, but it is stunning!

When you see my card you'll know why I favourited this . A wonderful bright, happy Jen creation. I have quite a collection of weathervane photos but I've never seen a seahorse one before.
