This card was made for a sketch challenge that also had an optional portion to include script/text.
When I saw the flourish in the sketch, I right away thought of the Stampin' Up! (SU) retired 2012 "Flowering Flourishes" stamp set. The flourish was facing the wrong direction, so my card mirrors the sketch.
I first stamped the flourish with Versamark ink, then dusted with gold embossing powder and heat set. In the center of each of the three embossed flowers I put a red pearl. I did the same for the embossed circles at the end of the two upper branches.
The sentiment piece was stamped on white with red ink using the 2014 retired "Wondrous Wreath" set. I die cut the sentiment with a stitched oval, then die cut a scalloped red mat using a scalloped oval. This sentiment piece was glued together, then attached with foam tape to the card front.
The sketch had a shape on top of the oval, so I die cut the smallest poinsettia (which has nice embossed veins on each petal) twice. It was assembled with glue dots, then red pearls added to the center. This was attached to the oval with a glue dot.
The final element of the sketch was two small banners at the bottom. I cut these from the same gold foil as the poinsettia, and the red cardstock used to mat the oval. They were attached with glue and a tiny sliver of foam tape.
The entire front panel was matted with the same gold foil, then glued to a white card base.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" because the heat embossing and die cutting made it so easy.
