This card is for two challenges - first, to honor Jan as today's featured stamper and also for the alphabet challenge letter M to use the masking tape technique. I found this lovely card in Jan's gallery: colour challenge by jan31 at Splitcoaststampers I kept to a similar layout - though flipped and used different colors and the masking tape technique for the background.
First, I created the background panel using both Mango Melody and Melon Mambo inks with masking tape to make this varied textured background.
I die cut 6 daisies and sponged the edges of three of them with Mango Melody. My flowers are bigger than the ones Jan used so I decided to place them on the right side of the scalloped oval. The center flower is popped up. I punched the leaves and added veins with the Shaded Spruce marker. Instead of ribbon down the side, I die cut this detail from Shaded Spruce to bring some of the green to that side of the card. A single rhinestone in the center of each flower completed the card.
Congratulations, Jan, enjoy your week!
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Fabulous CASE of Jan's card. Love the bg you created with tape. Those colors are so great together. The sponging on those fab daisies is perfect. They pop right off the bg. Beautiful card.
