I'm hosting the next Mix-Ability challenge and we are pairing things Side by Side! Talking fancy it's all about juxtaposing something about your card.
For my side by side card, I've scanned an old Household tips book for sewing advice to add as my background paper and what a nice surprise that my modern sewing machine sits right next to a picture of an old-fashioned one! To add some more modern I've added the trendy ink splots and spatters and painted a border.

I love this. Your scanned page things me of the Vogue how to sew that mother gave me, which I still have. And the ads in it looked so old and dated to my young eyes even then. Cute sewing machine.
