I have never sailed, have you? Looking at my sailboat reminds me of the one Scholastic book I was able to order as a child. I can almost smell that book. I loved how glossy the cover of that brand new book was! The story was of a girl who went to summer camp; she overcame her fears and learned to sail.
I am thinking of sending this to my FIL who has fought prostate cancer and is now dealing with bladder cancer. I didn't get the horizon perfectly painted so I am still debating on whether to send it to him or not.
I have this card blogged HERE along with a large sentiment card.

Love the painting of your sailboat, and the memories it brought back to you. Smiling here...always loved when I got a new book and how it smelled and felt when paging through it. Can't get that from a kindle. Send it to your FIL, it is a lovely card and was made from the heart. Hope all will be well with him. TFS

Another masterpiece, Angela! The crisp outlines you achieved on the sailboat itself creates pleasing perfection to the eye and truly makes your focal point pop! Thank you SO much for sharing!

Super sailboat, Angie, and I love how it looks as if the wind has blown the sails outward. Your water with the waves looks great, also. I am betting your FIL would love to receive this beautiful card. I'm wishing him the best.

Oh you must send him this beautiful card! It will cheer him up for sure! I love how it came out. I used to work for a sailboat company 30 years ago which is how my hubby and I met!! I will have to attempt this one and see how I do .
