I've been focussing on trying to use some of my fancier dies recently - the Seahorse edger is the most recent one. I cut it from white card, and coloured it carefully with Gelatos and some Craft-T rub-ons, also colouring the inlay for the tail. I used gelatos to colour the background layer and the rest of the top layer, blending them with a babywipe. I added scraps of gold card behind the little fish, and some green stained-glass paper behind the weedy flowers. Stencilled some sun-rays shining down, and added a few sequins. For the background layer, I first stencilled some bubble texture with gesso, then stencilled the seaweeds with gelatos, and stamped the sentiment. The top layer was glued directly to the bottom layer, but the seahorse is popped up slightly. I edged the piece with Stickles and added it to a blue base.
