I started a Travel the World card series in 2019, committing to virtually visit a different randomly-selected country each week (for 50 weeks), gathering tidbits of information about the country. I love to travel and this is one way I can "visit" countries that I might otherwise never see. As I learn about each country, I choose something about that country as inspiration for a card.
There are 195 countries in the world so in the first two years of this series I've "visited 100 countries, which means I still have quite a few to go.
This card is inspired by Guinea, where electricity to its capital city has electricity for only a few hours a day - early morning and evening, while other cities might be without electricity for half of the year until the rainy season starts and hydropower begins to operate.
Please visit my blog for more photos/information about both Guinea and my card...
Enjoyed learning about this country. My son and I are sitting at the doctor’s office, so I shared some with him. Love your fun card. Makes me appreciate our full time access to electricity.
