This card was made for a "Christmas in July" challenge that had an optional requirement to include ribbon or bows.
I recently saw a friend post a tri-fold shutter card that reminded me how much I enjoyed making one a few years back. She had an excellent photo tutorial that made it easy to follow along. Here is the web link to her tutorial: https://blog.inkup.us/2021/06/expres...-shutter-card/
I chose this technique because it is ideal for using up your small scraps of pattern paper. I have a favorite Stampin' Up! (SU) Designer Series Paper (DSP) I've been hoarding since it retired in 2015 that features various versions of "casual Santa". I managed to cut out all the little squares and rectangles needed for this card from those scraps. I wish SU would re-introduce this fun pattern paper!!!
I won't repeat the instructions for making this card since Sharon's blog does such a good job. I'm rating the difficulty level as a "2" out of a possible "5" (assuming you don't have to scrounge for scraps like I did). I recommend a paper trimmer other than a rotary wheel or guillotine since you need to make two long horizontal cuts from the first fold to the last fold, and this is easier with a typical craft blade cutter that you can start and stop anywhere on a sheet of paper. I used a Fiskars craft trimmer for this card.
