Thanking our hostesses this week in the Color Challenge, Mary (MaryR917); Pat (pvilbaum) with the Sketch; and Toni (ravengirl) for the Ways to Use it.
I had a musical blast! Recently our newspaper did a feature on music from 1971. I enjoyed revisiting so many songs that I remember from my high school days. I'll finish this later...off to work.

This is a brilliant card for all these challenges, Susan! I just love the black and gold record! The 70’s were the best but that is because it is the music I grew up with - ‘Imagine’ an absolute favourite along with any John Lennon/Beatles song and I always loved Melanie’s songs~

Great take on the sketch, Susan! Love the vinyl album, too! Your card reminded me of a birthday card where it lists the happenings in the year one was born... I remember some of those songs, specially Carole King's and John Lennon's...thank you for the walk down memory lane!

This is so fun! I really enjoyed reading the article. This will make a perfect 50th birthday card for someone born in '71! I wish I could copy this for my sister, but she turned 50 in February. The number one song when she was born was "Knock Three Times".

Oh, I also have to say that I love the gold and I think it's brilliant how you used the negative of the 1 instead of cutting another 1. It works so well and adds just the right amount of interest. Nobody would ever realize how resourceful that is. BRILLIANT!

Aboslutely amazing! I love this, the record is fabulous and I love the article. We were married in '71 and I'm glad that I'm not too old to remember the songs mentioned in the newsprint. You rocked these challenges with this wonderful card.
