This card is for the Ways To Use It Challenge. Come and play.
I had some bits of newspaper print that I had made several months ago using a mould and texture paste. Unfortunately I didn't put enough paste into the mould and it was tricky to get the end result out. I shall have another go with this as the mould is a great newspaper print of the Wall Street Journal. Apparently these can also be used to stamp with, but that is a technique for another day.
So back to my broken paste mould. It has been staring at me in my craft room for months and when I saw Toni's challenge I knew it was time to use some of it. I started by spraying Dylusions inks and sprays onto the mould and also on patterned paper to get more splatters. Love the effect. Also stamped some ink blots in blue and black inks.
The typewriter stamp/die set I have had for years and this is the first time (I think) that I have used it. The set has some cool sentiments and I thought this was appropriate for the challenge. I will stamp the inside sentiment along the lines of It is a special birthday today, or similar. I need birthday cards.
Plonked the panel on top of some patterned newsprint paper out of my stash. Unfortunately most of its hidden but it is there.
I love all of the texture that the mould has provided and will definitely use it again.
TFL. Happy day

It may have been a fail in terms of technique, but I think your moulded piece is absolutely amazing looking and looks great even if it did break. The ink blots are a wonderful addition, too. Can't you just see this in an old newspaper or magazine office.
