I was pleased that, with some finagling, I could use today's sketch with yesterday's tea party for Lori and her husband. I used a few Zentangle examples on Pinterest for inspiration to create some fun, wonky houses, vegetation, and trees. I'd like to see the inside of that tall skinny house. Their kitty Kilo is in the window of the bottom house.
I thought about adding color to the panel, which is why I did it on watercolor paper, but in the end, I sprayed primary colors on the card base, making the main panel more narrow than the back. I didn't want to cover much of the drawing so cut an acetate circle and stamped the word on more sprayed wc paper. I did use an Identi-pen to put some dots on the acetate to show the triangle (sort of).
Caretaking is sometimes harder on the caretaker, I'm thinking of them both.

As soon as I saw your card, I thought the sentiment should read "serZENity". And Zen to people who understand and can attain it, certainly seems to lead to a whole bunch of serenity! This card is filled with fun and I see a new little "squiggly" every time I look up to view it again. I totally agree with your statement about caregivers often having it as hard or harder than the one going through the trauma.

"Oh wow. This is magnificent. Sweet serenity in every corner. Gracious, fantastic, the wow factor is over the top. Beyond surreal, really wonderful....." These are just some of the quotes John said while he studied your art for almost a full 4 minutes before looking at me. He also said "What do you say to let her know how special this is?" We hope to have it framed. Thanks, dear Jean, we feel your love.

Loving the Zen. What a great card to express the intricacy of all that transpires in home, love and care.

Amazing work. I like Kilo in the window. I think it looks good left in black and white. The wavy tangled trees are especially cool. I can understand that John would want to frame this.
