I'm not sure the two flowers can support the weight of my big old bumblebee. I recently found out that Wisconsin has 20 varieties of bumblebee, many of which are endangered. I had no idea...to me, a bumblebee is a bumblebee. They are more interesting than regular bees.
I really enjoyed the video (he's a hoot). I did a practice run first, actually like the shape of that one better. Drawing is my nemesis. But, all in all, I'm pretty happy. I also checked out a Emma LaFebvre bee video; she used metallic gold paint to do the wings, which I liked very much and added to my wings. For today's WT, paper piecing, I pieced the section at the bottom (probably the first BG papers I ever bought), sort of followed the bargello tutorial. I also stamped the sentiment on one of the papers.
A couple of people have asked how I get such small, even splatters. I use a fan brush most of the time. Works great!

Ha....just had a chuckle at the title of your card, Incoming. That was perfect. You painted a wonderful bee and I see the gold metallic on the wings. It looks really pretty. Pretty flowers, too. Oh, and you did a good job with the pile (hair) on the bee.

Well, it is nice that you joined me with your bigger bee - I was getting lonely!. Haha - Great job on your bee though Jean, and love the rest of your design too. Thanks for joining us.

You did a Beautiful job with the bee challenge, Jean! I like the "fur" part of your bee and her legs. Your added flowers are pretty and no surprise that the bee is attracted to them~

Your bee is great and I like the gold on the wings as well. I had to go look it up and we only have 9 varieties in TX, but I guess the one I painted is a TX bee because he has a black rear and not a yellow one. Your flowers are teaming up to support your big bee. this was so much fun I think I'll paint another.

You made me smile Jean with your flowers not able to take the weight of your Bee and the title of your card. Perfect. You nailed both challenges. I like your flowers and bee and your paper piecing is lovely. The sentiment made me smile too. TFS. Happy day

Pleasingly plump is the term that comes to mind when I see your bumbler . . . and I'd say he'd happily agree with that sentiment! Good job on the pile and I like the shadowing you added behind the wings and under the bee.

What a delightful looking big furry bumblebee. My favourites - we had some rather aggressive native Irish honeybee in a hive in the garden for a few years and were always wary of those. Bees are fascinating. I like your pieced strip along the bottom; the rich, muted colours remind me of my favourite Basic Grey papers.

Oh how I love this bee so much and the creative base paper piecing colors work so well with it too. I really want to do this water coloring technique. With my last name we have bee stuff all over the house. LOL! Thank you so much for joining in the challenge this week.
Oh, my! I remember commenting on this but I must have forgotten to hit submit? Seems like someone always wants something around here. I think you painted a stunning bee and I love how you created a pieced border! This is a fabulous card. I love that fuzzy bee!
