I gave my Scan N Cut and me a workout, figuring out how to scan a vintage iron-on embroidery transfer, by "Aunt Martha". I modified by removing some images, adding the text, making it smaller, and doubling it so folds in half. The Inside has a secret message for the recipient. I used my ancient Radiant Pearls glycerin based paints, and some Wink of Stella. The teapot rests on a snippet of fussy cut fabric and a doily. The music die cut was embossed 3 times for strength. My favorite part of this card is the background. I recently replaced the filters on my art chemical protective respirator. I sponged on som Oxides inks and printed with it. I first thought it would make a cute snowflake card, but when auditioning BGs, thought it was like retro vintage wallpaper.

I use Aunt Martha patterns for tea towels....this is definitely one of her designs. It's perfect for the bird tickle challenge! I love the doily and that bg .....you crack me up saying you "audition" backgrounds....I do that, too...love the way you put it

Oh my, neighbor! How very special, creative, and original! I adore the fussy cut snippet of ‘tablecloth’! And yes, that bg is certainly special...just the fact you can audition it in many settings speaks to that. Someone is going to be thrilled to receive this in their postbox.
